Join the Vilna over coffee and babka for presentation and conversation with Dr. Michael Alosco about Alzheimer's Disease. He will discuss recent advances in Alzheimer's research, including discussion on risk factors, prevention, and clinical trial outcomes. He will also touch on CTE and it's relation to Alzheimer's Disease. 

Dr. Michael Alosco is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Boston University (BU) School of Medicine and the Associate Director of the BU Alzheimer’s Disease Center and the BU Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center Clinical Core. His career has been devoted to the investigation of the diagnosis, risk factors, and biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases, with focus on AD and related dementias. He earned his Ph.D. from Kent State University in clinical psychology in 2015, with emphasis in neuropsychology. He became Assistant Professor of Neurology at the BUSM in 2018. He has >120 peer-reviewed publications and is the recipient of an NIH grant funding. His currently funded research is using various MRI tools to better understand risk factors and mechanisms of AD and CTE.
