Dr. James O’Connell joins the Vilna and CJP to share his experience from thirty years of working with the homeless community in Boston. As founder of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Dr. O’Connell has spent decades working to provide healthcare to Boston’s unhoused population. Hear his first-hand stories, insights on access to healthcare in the 21st century, and thoughts on the state of homelessness in Boston today.
We will gratefully be accepting new cold weather attire for donation to Boston Health Care for the Homeless. The most needed items are gloves, hats, and socks.
Dr. O'Connell's book will be for sale after the event for additional purchase.
Presented in partnership with CJP.
If you would like to attend but finances are of concern, please email Director of Communications and Community Outreach Lynne Krasker Schultz at lynne@vlinashul.org.
