In Judaism, the concept of Tikun Olam is prevalent in Torah and our culture. "Healing the World" takes on different forms for different Jews, and here at Havurah on the Hill we welcome all the different forms that Tikun Olam might take.
This November, we welcome Jonathan Rosenblum to Havurah on the Hill. Rosenblum is a union and community organizer with 33 years of leadership in successful labor community campaigns. He is the author of Beyond $15: Immigrant Workers, Faith Activists, and the Revival of the Labor Movement, published by Beacon Press in March 2017.
Join us at HOH for Shabbat Services, dinner, and to hear about Jonathan Rosenblum's form of Tikun Olam, his new book, and activism.
Schedule of Events:

7:00 PM – Shabbat Services
8:15 PM – Featured Speaker: Jonathan Rosenblum

Havurah on the Hill is a non-denominational, egalitarian minyan for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area. HOH meets at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, one of the last remaining synagogues from the early 20th century wave of Jewish immigration and hosts monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services as well as other special holiday celebrations throughout the year. Check back soon for an update on our featured speaker.
Vilna and Havurah on the Hill will never turn anyone away for inability to pay. If you would like to attend but finances are of concern, please email Director of Communications and Community Outreach Lynne Krasker Schultz at email@example.com.
The Vilna Shul offers free parking with validation for Havurah on the Hill Friday night services. Parking validation is only good for the garage at the Charles River Plaza/Cambridge Street Garage at 165 Cambridge Street. This garage is between the Charles River Plaza Shopping Center (Whole Foods) and AU Bon Pain, and across from the Starbucks, near the intersection of Blosson Street and Cambridge Street. DO NOT ENTER THE WHOLE FOODS LOT - THE VILNA DOES NOT VALIDATE FOR THAT LOT. You will receive a green ticket upon entry. Any other color tickets cannot be validated. Please visit our "Getting Here" page for more information on parking and transportation.
