Meet Myra Sack, author of Fifty-seven Fridays, a story of grief and loss, and ultimately, resilience. On discovering that her daughter suffered from a terminal illness and might not live to her next birthday, Myra and her husband decided to make every Friday night into a “Shabbirthday,” and celebrate the time they had left together.

In this interactive workshop, Myra will share her story and share practical steps for how we keep ourselves strong in the face of any kind of trauma or loss. She’ll be welcomed by Rabbi Allison Berry, Director of the Betty Ann Greenbaum Miller Center for Jewish Healing at Jewish Family and Children Services.

Co-sponsored by Combined Jewish Philanthropies and Jewish Family & Children's Service
