Join artist Julie Weitz for a conversation about her public art physical installation for Passover. Julie's exhibition Golem v Golem is currently installed outside on the Vilna building and plaza until April 4, 2021. Click here for more info on the physical exhibition

Golem v Golem is one of 3 installation nationally as part of Dwelling in a Time of Plagues, made possible by CANVAS. Designed for Instagram, follow artist Julie Weitz’s alter ego, the Golem, as she takes a serious look at what plagues us today. This unfolding narrative will feature one episode each day of the holiday, as well as a companion literary collaboration, “What We Talk About When We Talk to the Golem,” by Moriel Rothman-Zecher.

Golem v. Golem by Julie Weitz is created in collaboration with filmmaker D.S. Chun, cinematographer Mustafa Rony Zeno and costume designer Jill Spector. It is produced by Asylum Arts, made possible with the generous support of CANVAS. The project is presented at the Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture in partnership with the Jewish Arts Collaborative. A companion literary collaboration, “What We Talk About When We Talk to the Golem,” by Moriel Rothman-Zecher, is produced by Jewish Book Council. Digital partners include the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. The work is part of a North American project – Dwelling in a Time of Plagues – a coast-to-coast Jewish artistic response to contemporary plagues.
