VILNA AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS COVENANT FOUNDATION GRANT FOR ADULT LEARNING

Dateline: BOSTON, MASSACHUSSETTS, January 10 — Executive Director, Dalit Ballen Horn, announces that The Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture, is the recipient of a 2022 Signature Grant from the Covenant Foundation for Centered on Culture: Jewish Learning through the Arts, to create a Jewish enrichment program for young professionals and older adults and explore Jewish content through arts and culture.

In the coming months, The Vilna will offer interactive seminars taught by leading scholars to advance Jewish literacy through a curated exploration of film, literature, music, dance, visual arts, theater, and culinary arts.

The Covenant Foundation “is committed to the idea that those with the creativity and passion to be catalysts for change and innovation in Jewish education are worthy of recognition and support.”

To learn more about how you can support this initiative, please contact Christen Hazel, Director of Development, at christen@vilnashul.org.

The Vilna, located on historic Beacon Hill, is the last-remaining immigrant era synagogue building in Boston and now serves as a center for Jewish culture and communal engagement. We offer opportunities to connect and explore one's culture, experience the arts and engage in big Jewish ideas.
