Dr. James O’Connell will share his experience from thirty years of working with the homeless community in Boston. As president of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Dr. O'Connell has spent decades working to provide healthcare to Boston's unhoused population. Join us as he shares his insights on access to healthcare in the 21st Century and the state of homelessness in Boston today.

This program is a partnership between Vilna Shul and Fenway Community Center.

Sponsored by Jason Weiner and Nicole Zatlyn, the Vilna Shul Lifesavers Speaker Series invites you into its historic building to engage deeply with global thinkers, influencers and philanthropists championing social justice and positive change. These unique, intimate conversations profoundly touch those present by providing behind-the-scenes opportunities to engage with leaders that are tackling important, global issues in science, art, religion, business and politics.
