HOH March Kabbalat Shabbat: Mechanical Puzzles & Entrepreneurship

Date: Friday, March 16, 2018

This March, join Havurah on the Hill for a fun and mind-bending evening as we explore the world of mechanical puzzles. David Leschinsky is a local entrepreneur and small business owner who founded Eureka! Puzzles & Games in 2004. Located in Coolidge Corner, Eureka! is a store overflowing with treasures ranging from artful jigsaws to diabolical mindbenders, clever games, to the ancient art of Japanese puzzle boxes.

This evening, David Leschinsky, a.k.a. the “Puzzle Man,” will introduce us to his passion, mechanical puzzles (he stocks over 1,000 of them in his store!). After his remarks, join David for some hands-on puzzling during Shabbat dinner!

Havurah on the Hill is a non-denominational, egalitarian minyan for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area. HOH meets at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, one of the last remaining synagogues from the early 20th century wave of Jewish immigration and hosts monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services as well as other special holiday celebrations throughout the year.  This musical inspired Shabbat features Chanukah music and food!
