Join HOH at the Museum of African American History for a wonderful, lay-led Kabbalat Shabbat service. Lauren Pyes will discuss her trip to India through CJP and Project Inspire and her experiences with the Jewish community there.

The Jewish community of India is small but strong. Mumbai is a bustling city of over 21 million people that was quietly shaped in a significant way by Jewish residents. That is a tradition being carried on today not by prominent families who put their names on buildings, but rather the passionate Jewish citizens of Mumbai and Israel-based aid organizations.

The schedule is as follows:

6:30 PM – Appetizers and Schmoozing
7:00 PM – Shabbat Services
8:15 PM – Featured Speaker
8:45 PM – Shabbat Dinner and Schmoozing
