Sukkot, the Harvest Festival, an opening between the meta-physical and physical in which we construct temporary outdoor dwellings, is an overwhelmingly underrated Jewish holiday. Turmohel (pronounced tur-mo-yell) is Boston's only Jewish drag troupe. Since 2018, they have dazzled, delighted, and disgusted audiences in Boston and New York with their gender-playful Jewish performances. Stuart B Meyers (show-doula + performer) is a performing artist and ritualist. Inspired by the overlap in his queer and Jewish identities, Stuart creates shapeshifting, time-defying works which crack open perspective and awaken audiences to their bodies and spirits.
