Did you know some early rabbinic authorities once declared turkey to be unkosher? Here at The Vilna, we're embracing Thanksgiving turkey and celebration as a core part of what it means to be Jewish American. It's the perfect expression of the Jewish value of hakarat hatov, gratitude, in the most Jewish way we know: a delicious meal with family and friends. We're all about turkey too, but for our Thanksgiving culinary event, we'll stick with dessert.
Fred Csibi-Levin is a scientist turned baker who delighted a packed house with his macaron making secrets at The Vilna last season. Now he's back to teach us the tips and tricks behind French entremets, a multi-layered dessert with a combination of textures and flavors.
