Antisemitism

What is it like to be a Jewish student on campus right now? Which campuses are the most challenging and why?

Join Professor Len Saxe of the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies for a fascinating conversation about the Center’s new paper In the Shadow of War: Hotspots of Antisemitism on US College Campuses (December 2023). He’ll be joined by Miriam Berkowitz Blue, Executive Director of Hillel Council of New England, as well as area students, for a deep dive into the day-to-day lives of Jewish college students and the themes and trends on campuses across the country.

Leonard Saxe, Ph.D., is Klutznick Professor of Contemporary Jewish Studies and Social Policy at Brandeis University where he directs the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies and the Steinhardt Social Research Institute. He is an author/co-author of nearly 400 publications, including books about Jewish summer camping and Birthright Israel. Prior to his focus on religion and the Jewish community, he led major research programs on mental health issues and substance abuse.
