Shabbat in the City is the perfect opportunity for a Shabbat twist on dinner and a show in Boston. In partnership with Temple Shir Tikva - Wayland, MA, everyone is invited to participate in Friday night services led by Rabbi Danny Burkeman and Cantor Hollis Schachner. The evening continues with a delicious dinner and drinks, and ends with a performance of the award-winning play The Dybbuk. The Dybbuk, winner of the 2025 Outstanding Production Elliot Norton Award, returns to Boston for limited encore performances! A mystical Yiddish folktale, this is a story of love, family, displacement, and the restless Jewish soul. Steeped in folklore and cultural tradition, reimagined in a contemporary new production by Ukrainian-born, Jewish director Igor Golyak, The Dybbuk is set in the heart of the historic sanctuary of The Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture on Beacon Hill.
