Join the Downtown Social Club for drinks to meet new friends over fabulous conversation prior to the Lifesavers Speaker Series featuring speaker Dr. Robert Stern. Dr. Stern will speak about CTE and the Long-Term Consequences of Repetitive Blows to the Head. The Downtown Social Club will meet in the bar area at the Tip Tap Room at 138 Cambridge Street, Boston at 6:00 PM and then head to the Vilna for the 7:00 PM conversation. Please note that drinks and food at the Tip Tap Room are not included, but tickets to the 7:00 PM conversation are included. 

Dr. Robert Stern, Director of Clinical Research for the BU Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center, explores the science behind concussion research. A major focus of his research involves the long-term effects of repetitive brain trauma in athletes, including the neuro-degenerative disease, CTE. In an intimate discussion, learn more about his groundbreaking research, ask questions, and get up-close and personal with the man who may have a major impact on the future ofall organized professional sports.
